About the Cancellation Policy

Our cancellation policy is based on the following:

The BEALL MANSION is a destination property. As such, most reservations are made from one month to six months in advance. Because we are located on Millionaire’s Row, a residential area in the historic Middletown Historic District, we have zero drive by business.

That means that re-booking a room within the cancellation period is virtually impossible.

As an intimate five room property, one guest room is twenty percent of our inventory. The cancellation policy is extremely generous when compared hotels when you book twenty percent of inventory.

Hotels and motels generally over book to compensate for last minute cancellations. Over booking is a part of yield management practiced by virtually every major hotel or motel chain.

At The BEALL MANSION we never over book. Your room will be here when you arrive. No exceptions. No excuses. In order to be able to do do so the cancellation policy must be designed accordingly.

To make sure that all guests are familiar with the policy it is on our website, has to be checked as read and agreed to when booking online, explained a the time of booking when booking by phone, and is repeated again in the confirmation letter.

To protect yourself in the event of a last minute emergency you are strongly urged to purchased travel insurance including trip cancellation insurance.
