Don't miss your chance to experience history.

This 1 1/2 hour escorted tour of Alton Cemetery will take you along shaded paths to the gravesites of ten different men and women who shaped Alton history during the 19th and early 20th century.

At each gravesite an actor from Alton Little Theater or the YWCA will provide a first person narrative of the life of the person buried there.

This year, Mary Todd relative, Senator Edmond Beall, will share his memories of the final Lincoln Douglas which was held here in Alton and his role decorating the Lincoln home for the Lincoln Funeral.
